Inspired by Jorth's plan to dress up on election day*, and horrified that when I pre-voted earlier in the week I was wearing gym gear, I've decided to make amends on Saturday.
Saturday is my 40th birthday so I think I should make an effort:

Honey, I can tell just by that cute picture of your feet that you don't look a day over 30. I turned 40 this year and it has been a very good year. Happy Birthday.

Now I have a dilemma...they ought to issue a polling booth by polling booth dress code. How embarrassing to turn up to a 'smart casual' in black tie (or vice versa).
Dressing to vote can be just so tricky.
I'm looking out the window thinking that I might have to revise my Election Day Wear. It's like going to the Melbourne Cup - I need a winter alternative.
Just look for the flustered mum with two bored-looking children asking for an ice-cream/bucket of chips/present.
You don't look a day over 39, seriously. Have a great celebration then go into total denial that it ever happened, that's what I did.
