I have lived in this house for three years.
By now you'd think I would've seen every plant in the garden at least once.
But not so. Yesterday I looked up from my vegie garden to see this.
A beautiful dark pink climbing rose. I swear, it's the first time I've seen it.
It must've spent the last three years recovering from a dramatic pruning.
I was even more excited when I turned my attention back to the vegie garden to see this. My first Roma tomato developing.
Gotta love the sub-tropical climate here. Things just grow.

I'm so jealous of your garden. Mine is a field of weeds - all I see is work when I look at it!
A lovely shade of pink!
I love your garden. I can't wait until I actually have time to spend in my garden again.
Nothing tastes better than home grown tomato's.
That rose is divine ! I love a climber - they are so old fashioned and charming ... much like you - the charming bit not old fashioned :) and yes I have read the vent post - you are charming even under pressure ...
and the tomato - we are currently in tomato overload - cherry toms and their bigger brother.
The first tomato died from bird strike or something - the boys were heartbroken ... they had been the planters and now wanted to reap the rewards ...
So I will be gifting tomatos to the darling two fab five girls who keep us in home grown (?) eggs ... nice to swap edible produce :) cheers le
What an unusual and stunning colour. Gorgeous. Your garden sounds lovely, and moving - more excitement! I've left you an award over on my renovation blog, in honour of the house sale and moving.
