On Tuesday I went on a little excursion to here,
which has its less fabulous official entrance around the corner here.
I went to pick up this. A special GOLD library card.
Anyone can have a BLUE library card but at the desk I mentioned that I had heard there was a GOLD card, and how could I get one please? What would you be needing it for? asked the clerk. Research, I said. Research? oh, well that's different. Here, have a GOLD card, it's for special people, oops, collections.
Then I took the weekly tour of the library. I was the only one on it. So special.

NOw we are all intrigued! What are you researching that requires a special gold card?
Oh, you know me, I just like to collect special things. Why have a blue card when, with a few extra questions and some ID, you can have a pretty gold one?
BTW, the library is a fabulous resource. Loads of cool stuff. If you're into that sort of thing.
Library snobbery. I like it.
We already knew you were special.
Be sure to have it just poking out of your purse - a gold one always looks impressive.
And so what do you have to do at that place to get a platinum card?
And do they have a chairman's lounge?
Well you know now you will have do assorted collections posts just so we know what is in that library!
Stacey: Don't worry, I have been struttin' my card. Family members are completely sick of me.
Fairlie: No platinum card. However, there is a members' lounge. For $57.70 a year (family memb) I can sit in the lounge with a bunch of 80 somethings, make myself a tea, grab a shortbread cream and read the paper.
Mary: oh, you twist my arm.
You crack me up. God I miss you! Please never give up blogging, it makes me feel in touch.
The only new cards I have is a Sportscraft one.
How long until the 23rd July? Too long I'd say.
How very exclusive!
And not proud of it either, are you?
A gold card! I feel like I'm in the presence of royalty. Do you get special access? Do you get to see things few have seen? No late fees?
I Love the new header!!
That is mighty impressive! I had to pop by from Fairlie's to see why you were so special. Now I know... Happy weekend!
