Crikey - that old kitchen looked pretty neat to me! Good luck with all this upheaval. It's almost 30 years since I put in a new kitchen (maybe that's why your old one looks so good to me!), but I still recall the bloody awfulness of the process.
Yep, neat but no bench space, appliances dying and with the Ikea trolley we usually had sitting in the middle only one person at a time could get in there.
We are rearranging the whole space at the back to include a laundry/scullery which will be bliss!

Oooh yes - I am liking the idea of a laundry/scullery a whole lot. With second dishwasher and fridge.
