Socks, Tea and a sunny Sunday afternoon

Marble pondering the strange changes that have seen her mistress start knitting in public.

This morning started off with a heavy rain shower which meant that Baseball was cancelled. KelpieBlossom was upset because it was Firegazer's turn to be "match coach" this week. Today would've been the last official match of the season as next week is Gala Day with the trophy ceremony.

We replaced Baseball with a trip to the local pool. A little cold for me so I accessed my "inner Nana" and knitted while Firegazer and the kids swam. I am getting seriously embarrassing.

After lunch the sun came out and I managed to sneak a little sock-knitting time in the garden. I am SUCH a Nana. I even got brought a cup of tea.

BTW, the socks are getting there. I had to do some MAJOR unravelling last night due to a little altercation between the instructions and I.

The instructions won.

Ah - another public knitter!
I knit every week whilst the boys have their swimming lessons. To complete the Nanna look, as its really hot and stuffy at the indoor pool, I sometimes nod off mid row.
Your cat is lovely.

I often carry a little hand stitching with me. It is amazing how many minutes I waste waiting around for other family members. I bet you'll find that you get a lot done in those public nana moments.

Attention!

I had a giggle at your public nana. As long as you weren't wearing those little knee-high stockings that end up puddled around elderly woman ankles.... Now if you wear your kaftan while knitting.... all bets are off.

Oh seriously. In public?

In the privacy of your own home was one thing...but in public?

You'll be getting a tapestry bag to carry your knitting around in next.

A tapestry bag? Hmmm. No, actually I carry my "stuff" around in one of those woven shopping bags - one from my local Thai restaurant, no less.

Perhaps I should own up to knitting in the school grounds - but only after 5.30pm while waiting for my daughter's clarinet lesson to end. I have my limits you know.

I'm thinking how could you resist the public stitiching when, like a book, it is so portable. But looking at your previous post and the picture included I'm wondering how you go with the three sided knitting (which looks ultra professional by the way)?

I have been doing a little unravelling myself of late - not the sock kind, though.
Little giggles here at being a public nanna. :)
