Once in a Red Moon

Wow! Did you see the Lunar Eclipse tonight? I hope you did.

It was a lovely clear night here in Sydney following a very warm day. The kids and I grabbed our deck chairs and the camera and watched the show.

I know some parts of country WA were too cloudy to catch the lunar eclipse so these pics are for you.

You'd be forgiven for thinking this is a pic of Mars! Red Moon at 8pm

and to think I only have 91 more photos to show you!

These are great shots...mine were, alas, a bit crap. I must add 'tripod' to my birthday wishlist...! Here in clear-sky Melbourne, it clouded over at about 7pm, but cleared around 8.20pm - just in time for us to get an amazing view of the full red moon.

Do you have a super duper camera ??? or are you just a great photographer...maybe both?? anyhoo great photos - I am so lazy I never look out for all thoses moony eclipsey thingys that I really should considering they happen once every blue moon.ha ha couldnt resist!!!
