While I was 5th in line at Dymocks when the boxes were ripped open I have only managed 2 1/2 chapters due to Ballet/Swimming/Feed Sprogs/Ballet this morning.
Now, I will go downstairs, shut myself in the lounge and read.
BTW the school where KelpieBlossom has her ballet lessons ran a HP7 sale as a building fund fundraiser! Kids and Parents were lining up to buy the books when I dropped her off.
They sold them for the full price ($45) and made $17 from each book sold (cost price $28).
Of course I neglected my children. I kept asking them "What day is it?" and they would answer, shoulders drooping, "Harry Potter Day" and skulk back to whatever they were doing.
Gosh. HP7 is sweeping the internet! It's all I can do to NOT find out what happens - am squinting like mad while reading to screen out anything "plot" important! I am probably fighting a losing battle, I am sure :-D
What I did pop in to say is that I loved all your handbags - especially the last one. I am a handbag junkie myself. I am currently in the market for a red one and spied a devine one at Oroton the other day. I'm wondering if they'll still have it in October (I may jut HAVE to buy it now to avoid disappointment!)
I loved it. Possibly the best book of the series. Now I feel the need to re-read them.
Funnily, it didn't feel like I was reading it fast. I was deliberately re-reading sections to make sure I was across all the detail. Just an easy, well-flowing, read.

The suspense is killing me. How is the book going so far?
Rgds, TeamSAK
Hmmmm interesting.
What page are up to now? Is the story so far worth the wait and pr build up?
Up to Chapter 25. Hope to finish this evening.
Despite this being "Harry Potter Weekend" in our house I've had so many distractions (including a 3 hour mtg this morning, grrr)
Finished HP7 at 11.50pm EST.
Phew, now I can walk into school tomorrow without fear of someone leaking the vital plot elements!
You must have neglected your children this weekend
I finished ahead of you...just.
And now I'm sad.

Thanks, and yes, I too covet the perfect red day bag. It will go on my birthday wish list.
Wow, fast read! Did you enjoy it?

I just cracked up at your child-handling on the great day. What day is it? I can't even tell you how much I love that.
