Lets talk about bathrooms...

Stacey has been talking about bathrooms. During said discussion she mentioned bathrooms with carpeted floors. I thought it only right to own up to having one of those...

Here is the floor of our powder room. Hmmm lovely threadbare carpet with equally delicious carpeted mat.

Tasteful 'Crystal' taps contribute to the overall effect.

Oh, and I should mention that the previous owner of our house ran a shoe importing business so the walls of our powder room are wallpapered in red suede. Peeling red suede. So bordello of us.

I've become so used to this look that if/when we ever renovate I'm going to go to town in this room. But perhaps a little less Texas Whorehouse and a little more Florence Broadhurst.

If you had not already run from our house at the horror of it all I would then direct you to our kitchen where the walls are wallpapered in beige patent leather. See the telltale shine?

I love it! HEHE. Makes me wish I had taken a photo of my bathroom before we renovated. Mind you the carpenter did such a cr@p job it needs to be redone.

I wore my best crotchless knickers to view your toiley too.

Too much info ?

The kitchen is very .. odd .. but I kinda like the bordello toiley ( although sans carpet, I think ) .. the red is awesome, and I love those crystal taps - I haven't seen a set in years.

I think you should hold your head up in high esteem - don't let the pimps shame you otherwise !

I love the taps. I have a thing about glass doorknobs, taps etc. Quite a market for the on ebay these days!

I'm going to organise some kind of heritage listing for your powder room. I love the bordello look - don't you dare change it!

You never know what goes on behind closed doors... Until you see the walls clad in leather and suede!

I absolutely refute the insinuation of a 'house of horrors' - M your house is just devine as it is - well maybe a little work 'rearranging' the kitchen/meals/laundry area could be beneficial to the full time residents.

Ooh, gorgeous! Inspiration for my renovations. ;)

Suede AND leather. Interesting. At least your house isn't like everyone else's house. It's unique. The lovely window in the bathroom distracts from the bordelloness (not a word?).

Suede and patent leather? I'm astonished!

At least you have a nice stained glass window. And I think I am slightly in love with your crystal taps.

That is one heck of a powder room.

The crystal taps? I believe I grew up with taps like that. In a pink tiled bathroom with a deep pink bath.

I should also mention that the stained glass window is complemented by a stained glass door. We had to install a blind for privacy, particularly as the door faces our front door...

I love the toilet room. It looks fantastic.
Although a touch hard to clean if there's anything of a projectile nature?

I have seen worse, believe me. All I have to do is walk into the next room of my house to my lovely apricot vanity and beige toilet ... noice!
