No, this is not my pantry. Nor is this a Tupperware catalogue shot.
This pantry belongs to Domestic Goddess. This is not a photo taken after it has been tidied; this is what it looks like ALL THE TIME. In fact this photo was probably taken just after her three kids had marauded through the kitchen looking for after school snacks.
Sigh.
So, DG when are you next coming to Sydney? My pantry misses you.

Snap. Mine looks like that (at the moment) and I'm gloating.
I was so shamed by the state of mine after seeing the job Rob did on Melinda's that I spent an entire day hauling it into shape.
I'm so paranoid it is going to slide, that I'm currently heard yelling things like, "LINE UP the noodle snacks".
So, how ARE you? :-)
When you come up for the Diana exhibition (I'm assuming you will do so at some point) could you please tidy my pantry? Please? You and DG could do it together? Hmmm?
Oh
My
God.
And loving the knitting!
I feel so inferior. My pantry could never look like that let alone actually contain the stock required to feed TeamSAK
I could send Rob over?
He is very, very good at this sort of thing. Our DVDs and CDs are alphabetized, our books are organized by genre, and the closets (okay Rob's closet since he won't even touch mine) would make you swoon and/or roll your eyes. T-shirts on the left, button-ups on the right, pants on the bottom right, jeans and sweats on the bottom left.
He would probably list organizing as a hobby, he enjoys it that much. I guess opposites really do attract! He is such a geek. But he's my geek and I love him.
This is so pretty and so organized that I would like to twirl around in it...naked. I like it that much.
I am so not surprised. I wouldn't expect anything less. I would love a pantry that had that much space to work with but I suppose the saying 'the more money you have the more you spend' could also be 'the more space you have the more space you mess'. Love the Tupperware DG I have the blue lids.
PS I'm thinking of you M, wondering how much fun you & Firegazer are having!
I know I just left a comment but I just wanted to let you know of a very close friend of mine who has her wonderfully tidy pantry alphabetised, as you do - alborio, basmati, long grain - you get the picture - she recently sent me one of those chain emails asking me to describe her in one word and knowing that she would be the first to admit it I didn't hesitate in saying 'Anal'
My husband wants to marry DG. And this after I'd spent A WHOLE DAY cleaning my pantry out.
Ungrateful wretch.
I have one set of the maroon lids.
:)

I must show my sister - the clean freak - this. It is amazing. Sadly, I have a lovely pantry, but it is in total chaos and I just don't have the enthusiasm or energy to do anything about it.
I used to have a pantry like this .. when I had a house witha new kitchen, built to my standards and needs. Minus the Tupperware.
This pic just reminds me i'd like a real pantry again.
Doesn't she eat/buy canned goods ?
Mine's still not bad though - I get teased that I put like with like and all labels facing front and in lines.
I have a g/f with all herbs/spices alphabeticalised too. I'm not that bad :p
