View from Philip St, 1.40pm
Approaching Circular Quay, 1.45pm.
There is talk of pulling down the Cahill Expressway because it cuts the city off from The Quay. True, it does, but I'd miss the fabulous view of the The Bridge and the Opera House while driving home from the airport.
Home by Ferry, 2pm

Sydney has a definite advantage when it comes to photography. Snap away from anywhere, anytime and as long as it has a bit of the bridge or the Opera House in it, the photo looks super-glam. Kind of like those pretty girls at school who never had a bad angle.
Love the shot from the ferry. I just love Sydney's ferries.
Fairlie - I was one of the girls at school who always had a bad angle. Obviously not a true Sydneysider.
Stomper - I love the ferries (or Fairies as our family calls them) too. I was disappointed yesterday that this one was a white River Cat rather than a traditional roly-poly green ferry.
When I lived at Cremorne Point catching the ferry to and from work was an endless source of pleasure!
That's what I like about your city.
Photos of my drive home down Warrigal Road just wouldn't have the same impact.
Car wash, car yards, old men's home, bus depot (the boys' favourite part) - nup, you win.
We may not have Sydney Harbour but we have beautiful Lake Burley Griffin to drive by/walk/run/cycle around. At Skyfire (annual fireworks display) we were able to park a 5 minute walk away from the edge of the lake just before it commenced. Can you see I am trying desperately hard not to miss Sydney?
I have no idea about the quay, but don't take it down! Good views are so hard to find.
Looks amazing! One of these days I will make it down there!
