Shimmer

Colinette Shimmer 5 in "Sea Breeze" arrived in the mail yesterday from Sunspun in Canterbury, Victoria

With yarn this beautiful I have no shortage of volunteers to help me wind the wool, hoping that there will be something in it for them. But, alas, this is intended to be made into a 40th birthday gift.

That yarn is very lovely. I paricularly like the change in yarn widths (is that the right word? Novice speaking here). I am now crocheting for the first time in my life and really enjoying it.

As to that ballet hair - just beautiful - though I am already panicking that this may need to be something I will have to learn to do!

I used to crochet as a child (something to do on our long school bus rides). Tried it again last week but got myself all tied up in knots (literally). It's on my to do list. Quite therapeutic isn't it?

Ballet hair... one of the reasons I'm glad I sprouted sons.

The wool looks lovely. I'm a knitter myself. Crochet is something I've never tried.
But who knows... with all of the knitting/quilting/papercraft/whatever else blogs I've stumbled into over the last few weeks, I could be doing anything next!

That yarn is so pretty it looks almost surreal. Like something from a cotton candy fantasy world! :-) Can't wait to see the finished product!

So, how ARE you?

I'm okay, I think. But if you see photos of handmade Halloween lolly bags on this blog on Wed then perhaps you'd better rescue me.

Thank god I don't have girls. I could never do that hair.

Love the yarn. Love Sunspun.

Oh it is lovely to be back and wandering around all the blogs and finding beautiful hair and beautiful wool and banana bread and book piles and all sorts of lovely things.

Hello!
